Design: World of Mechs

With World of Mechs, the other designers and I maintained documentation to keep track of statistics and other relevant information for balancing the experience. I learned a lot about documentation from his work and began to create my own for task tracking and scheduling.

Keeping track of all the varied stats was pivotal to balancing the experience and keeping everything in scale to each other. Changes to one level of mech would have rippling effects on the others as a careful scale was being kept. At the end of the day I couldn't imagine keeping a multiplayer focused title balanced without the rigorous data to support decisions, and I couldn't be happier that I got the chance to learn from my peers and grow in the data field.

Below is an example of documentation that was upkept to balance the game and keep track of all the mechs and their power levels. Below that one is a document I created to help keep track of the values and completed changes for the Bots variants I created to increase the challenge in single and multiplayer.
